Re: -ROLAND- "Rocker" Roll!

Those rockers are sweet you're right about having the right tools you couldn't fabricate something so nice any other way !

Hey, look who FINALLY got a chance to work on their bike! *me :x

You have a great stance on this bike. once you get those new mounts you made on there it will look killer!

Re: -ROLAND- "Rocker" Roll!

And fabbed up the brackets for the rear drop. Sorry the pic isn't the best, but at least you can make out the surface pattern....

How are you gonna make the chain deal with the changes in the wheel position?

Those are turnbuckles, not shocks, so the wheel, once set, should remain in the same position.

That doesn't qlarify the chainstay/chain-problem. If there is any ofcourse. I could be wrong but it looks like your future chain is gonna hit the chainstay with the wheel in this high position...

Edit: BIke looks very cool btw...

Re: -ROLAND- It rolls!!! 6/13

When I decided to do drops in the rear I figured out that it would be tricky to figure out the proper position so that the chain would clear, but still get the ride height I wanted......so I figured the easiest thing to do would be to just make them adjustable. I won't know for sure until I get a sprocket and chain on there. If it doesn't clear I'll just crank the turnbuckles!
It's certainly not something that I would change regularly, so I'll just adjust the chain length to what I need and then leave it alone.

Plus it looks really cool. :p

Re: -ROLAND- It rolls!!! 6/13

You could run a derailleur. :p

How about a jackshaft up on the seat tube... well, maybe not the seat tube, might not be structural, haha

Play with bigger or smaller front sprockets.

You might want to install lock nuts on those turnbuckles, it's amazing how much they will adjust themselves under vibration.

I knew they where not shocks, they have turnbuckles here too.
I just thought if it was made adjustable, it would be cool if you could adjust them!!!

@ rockit; I'll bet you can fab something like this;
