Schwinn Collegiate Seat Posts

Hey all I'm not that great at understanding the specifics in sizing of old and vintage bike parts so I'm stuck here.
I want to put a Brooks Flyer on my 72' Collegiate and I think I need a new seat post to do so? But if I recall the Collegiate posts are smaller than today's standard. What do I look for/do?
And if anyone has a resource on the specs for Collegiate parts that would be a great help!

You should be able to use the central portion (or possibly all) of the original clamp in conjunction with the Brooks rails. If that's not working for you, you can get a 13/16" post with a 7/8" top section.

I got one of those posts with the 7/8 top on my Collegiate and it works great.
