Picked up this Schwinn Hollywood off C*****list for $80 , going to fix it up as a suprise for my girlfriend , pretty rough shape , missing rear wheel some rust, chipped paint etc. maybe paid a bit too much , but old Schwinns are hard to find in Canada . sticker says bike is from 7401 Cycle, on Aurora in Seattle, WA , not sure if the seat , handlebars , and fenders are original . I would maybe date this as mid sixties... will probably just give this one a good clean ........any suggestions??

I believe that's a 70s color. Serial #'s moved from the rear dropout to the steering tube in early '70, and the 'mini-mag chainring was new for 1969. I'd say the bars are replaced, but the Mesinger seat was an option over the less padded blue & white "S" seat.-Adam

Thanks for the info , i thought that it might be a bit later than I dated it . I thought the seat may not be original so thanks !

cleaned her up a bit changed handlebars and put on new rear wheel
