A friend of mine's old man has two Schwinn Stingrays he doesnt use anymore, and he said i could have them! Ones blue and ones red. What do u guys think of me taking the paint off the red one and just leaving the metal bare? would it rust?

Unless the dry garage is in the desert, you'll still get rust. Even then, I wouldn't bet against it. Plus, if you, you know, ride it somewhere and get it wet or expose it to moisture, it'll still be likely to rust. You'd have to protect it.
