I have a stingray opc with a 32t sprocket in a cruiser frame, it looks like I have to shim out the sprocket to get a good chainline. im thinking I should be able to put a shim or washer between the bearing cone/retaining nut and the sprocket, to push the sprocket out. on the back I have a bendix cb from a tandem. I modified to fit, a shimano style cog. it is offset away from the tire, and my chain is still really close to the tire. of this mishmosh of parts, I don't see why I would have this issue. im running a 2.125 tire. hmmm, maybe the frame is bent.

Check frame alignment for sure, just in case. (easily done with the rear wheel off and a long piece of string), but yeah, you can use a washer/washers between the sprocket and the DS cone to move the front chainline outboard, no problem. Good luck!
Just make sure you still have crank arm clearance on the non-drive side (don't ask me how I know this......[emoji17])
I think many of us can relate to your warning in one way or another. Me certainly cans.
