Hi all, I love old cruisers and I want to buy the old classic cruiser with tank, to rebuild or repair, but when I try to buy on e-bay in US I've been shocked by price for delivery 900 $ :) so I heard from someone that there is simple and much cheaper way of transport by ship as normal package - 60 $ so I wonder if anyone can help me.

I have shipped a couple of bikes to Poland from the US. One of them was to another RRB forum member...tuinam is his user ID.
I used a shipping company that was located in Chicago Illinois in the US. I can't remember the name, but they are a Polish company and specialize in shipping to Poland from the US.
The way it ended up being the cheapest was for me to box up the bike and ship it to the company in Chicago via Fedex. I labeled it with the address in Poland and they shipped it from Chicago to Poland. I handled the shipping to Chicago and then the person who was in Poland handled the rest.
I think it was about $75 US to ship it from Chicago to Warsaw Poland and about $50 to ship it from me to Chicago.
Here is a link to a company that does the same sort of thing. (Not the one I used though) http://polonez.info/

I have a few projects that might work for you..Send me a PM and I can send some pics

Hi all! Just go to one of the Polish companies, they will ship it much cheaper!!
I know lots of people that shipped through Doma Export - http://www.domaexport.com
or 1-800-229-3662
it's like a fraction of the cost since they ship mostly there. hope this helps!

Thanks for jogging my memory Karot...Doma is the company that I used and it worked well. I shipped to them in Chicago and they sent it to Poland.

They also have a location in New Jersey. So depending where the bike is coming from it might be closer to Chicago or NJ, this way the cost to Doma can be cheaper too.
