In '54 the "Evans Products Company" bought out the "Bicycle Division" of the
"Colson Corporation"....
At first the bikes were badged as Evans-Colson, later, only the Evans name was used....
Evans also contracted with "Harley Earl" (Head of GM's styling dept.), to give a new look
to their bicycle line....Most likely where the squared off fenders came from....
Evans ended bicycle mfg. in '62....
This is a nice example of an "Evans" "Middle Weight" "Cantilever" framed bicycle....
