looks good , those square bodies are hot right now
I know i work at a parts store and turned down an offer of 5 grand just this morning at work. To me I couldn't buy anything as reliable and tough as this for 5 grand so I'll keep it. I've put lots of new parts in too.

Guess this proves my point... Got rear ended last Friday night and i drove home. Bumper has a slight dent and a bit of twist and the brackets sheered off and broke at the bolts. The Hyundai is totaled from a less than 30mph collision.... I drove home. #classicnotplastic

Finished my most recent full car build, this Moto Guzzi powered Aero Cycle Car replica Morgan 3 wheeler, in 2015 and sold it after enjoying it for a couple of months then deciding to realize a dream by importing a '41 Buick Special Sedanette into the UK from Canada.

Re-did the Buick's interior, fitted a few do-dads such as fog lights, cowl spot lamp, re-pop steel fender skirts etc. - then sold that one too at the end of 2016 after someone made me an offer which meant I effectively doubled my investment in a year ... still hurt to see it go!

Have since lapsed into building motorized bicycles and after building two and just about having completed Build No. 3 (Build threads all on RRB) I'm now in the process of relocating to Spain and have plans to commence a another car build once settled there. This new build (below) is a Citroen 2CV flat twin powered DeFlyer roadster kit from The Netherlands. I have the donor engine which I'm currently rebuilding/upgrading. Bike building will soon be taking a back seat for a while...

Those old bumpers were great! I used to be able to push people who took up two spaces in my old Subaru GL without leaving a mark, ram debris at speed in the alleys of Detroit, and I was a passenger in a friend's '85 Delta 88 when he slid on ice into an intersection island planter made out of railroad ties. The Oldsmobile bounced off and spun around 180*, shattering two of the railroad ties and not a mark on the car. I'd wish you good luck not getting whiplash, but that Hyundai probably didn't move your truck much.

I've always loved the Morgan trikes. Almost bought a '35 barrelback when I was 20, but it was expensive enough that it would have had to be my only car and that wouldn't have worked out no matter how much I tried to disregard reality. That one you built is gorgeous! Over the years, I've designed several tadpole trikes, but with a more practical daily slant (picture something like a WW2 fighter plane fuselage, sliding canopies and all, with the empennage removed and one was going to use an actual aircraft fuselage). RMV and varying state laws turned them into 4-wheelers (mainly, whether it would be a motorcycle or car—as a home constructor, I could easily get away with calling it a car and conform to car requirements, but most states list them as motorcycles, which would mean it couldn't have an enclosed passenger compartment and that I'd have to wear a helmet, but some states don't allow a helmet within an enclosed vehicle) which is substantially more money and chassis engineering.

That Buick is beautiful, too!

1980 Volvo 262c bertone Coupe w/Pontiac (Chevrolet)305CI TBI V8/700r4 trans conversion.
Car was converted using a 305CI small block GM Chevy TBI (Throttle Body Injected) computer controlled fuel injected engine.
Engine has a one quart external oil filter and has always had Mobil1 oil in oil pan. The drive train was installed using conversion parts purchased from JTR (Jags That Run).
All emissions equipment is working, and the car uses the Volvo key to start. Factory GM AC is installed.
Has a Corvette radiator, Ford SHO 2 speed electric cooling fan and a transmission cooler. The motor is powerful and pulls this car strongly under acceleration.

Car has a recent 700r4 Automatic Transmission installed that was pro built for drag racing. Transmission was designed and built for racing, shifts hard with no slippage.

The original 14 inch wheels were updated with Volvo 15 inch 5 spoke wheelsduring the conversion. Car has recently installed rear springs.

The original spare tire, spare tire cover, jack, and jack tools are in the trunk, along with the battery and the windshield washer fluid reservoir.

She is a sleeper.

And i dressed up my black 87 chevy 4x4 by painting the grille. Sorry for upside down images my phone does that.

Well I am still lurking in the shadows here, working full time I don't get much time to work on anything and the weather in Indiana has been 4 seasons every week so it rains every time I try to get something done. Very frustrating to say the least.

Anyway figured I'd give an update on how things are going. I painted the brown truck flat black, red rims, white roof, mexican blanket seat, then found out the head was cracked and the rust was worse than I thought so I sold it. The other truck got new rims and tires again after being repaired from the Hyundai hitting it. New bumper and brackets and it's good as it ever was. Also found a different topper on Facebook so that's also different now. Still driving it daily.

Also did a little paint under the hood.

And got these waiting to go on.

And since I am spending more money on fuel than I'd like I spent a little tax return money on something a little more fuel efficient. A 1989 Mercedes-Benz 190E project (sorry for upside down pics phone is acting weird)

This 1989 Benz has been sitting for 7 years in a garage but is in very good shape, no rust, no sludge in the engine, no cracks in the dash, just needs a fan clutch and a tune up, fluids flushed, probably tires and brakes, and a few other things but I am excited to have such a great car.

*correction 1989 Benz not 1990*

20190419_141511.jpg

And getting a second one tomorrow that's red to use as parts.

Just an update... Got my Benz towed and nearly $400 later got my car back. Have not even owned it 30 days of the 45 day grace period to get plates and the city towed it no warning at all.

Anyway I have lots of new stuff for it coming in. New tires, hood strut, fuel pumps (there are 2 fuel pumps), fan, fan clutch, fan shroud, and lots of cleaning going on. I poured a little gas down the intake and put a fresh battery in it and it runs very smooth so it will be on the road soon as I get time to put it together and get the last few parts after I pay back my friend the $400 I borrowed to get it back.
