Aluminum is a great material for a bicycle. Opposed to using burlap for underwear

Of course I got mine for free once you factor in the FSD conversion rate. I bought a bike that had these on it, then after I took them off, flipped the bike for what I originally paid for it. By the way, FSD = Fred Sanford Dollars. It's a variable exchange rate that I use on ALL of my bike parts.

Completed build of 1936 monark silver king, repop monark spring with disk brake, nexus 7 speed igh, 3 piece unknown make splined bottom bracket, origin 8 stem, tioga bear trap headset, modified steel stem for a seat post, Kmc silver and black Chain ....

The other Silver kings/Hexi/Alloy's intrigued me long long ago... even though the rigidity is like pasta. Throbbing like approximately 65% of the week from the frameset is such a bonus.

I think the shock gig posted is a Girvin.

available with springs, elastomers (almost always melted!) and maybe oil damped too? Often found on old Pro-Flex MTBs.
They're very very cool, little bit sketchy on the downhill
