I have been sweatin' hours on my '59 Columbia Apache and just found about a rust remover and chrome polish called "Never Dull." I am trying to keep a somewhat ratty look but my rims were straight rust colored. I have been scrubbing with Never Dull and it takes the rust right off with a bit of scrubbing. The thing that rules about this stuff is that you can leave rust on there for show by just not scrubbing so hard. I personally am getting my rims blinding chrome but noticed it's all how much scrubbing you want to do. Just thought those chrome fans might want to know. Pretty sick stuff!!

I'm right there with you dude! I am just not a fan of rust, I have been using Nevr Dull as a regular maintenance measure for a long time now.

It also works pretty good if you wipe it with nevr-dull, THEN go over it with fine steel wool. A lot less work that way! The nevr-dull by itself takes awhile on anything but light rust.. ~Adam

Used Never Dull and Mothers....still lots of work. I'm waiting for the Sham Wow guy to come up with some space age liquid that you just wipe on and it returns chrome to its natural beauty

Has anyone tried vinegar and aluminum foil, Dip the foil in the vinegar and rub then wipe off before it dries, then i use never dull and makes chrome shine. Try it

The best method I have found is to spray the rusted chrome with Kroil, let it sit overnight, then the next day hit it with a brass brush, then Nev-R-Dull. Easy peasy.

these all seem like good solutions but really with the never dull, I didn't have to use a harsh abrasive or another metal on metal. I just rubbed in little circular motions and put some good ol' elbow grease. I've also heard that Coca-cola and foil works too.

Never Dull is some good poop!!

It's been around for ages. I use it once (sometimes twice) a year on the chrome hubcaps or wheels on my cars and trailers as a "shine/protectant maintenance" step. The other remedies are very good for Rust removal. I've not tried the coke method, only read good and bad.
