not sure brand. but had it a while it needs some love. just a BaSiC commuter bike. plan add more bright green bits. make this bike safer to ride at night. on line pole rated green as most visible color at night. leave frame chrome. it's good for a reflective surf's.

but lose the messed up seat. ( still not sold on what seat to go with) add new bar tape. maybe new tires with green reflective side wall. like this set by Continental.

I went with cheap china made bare tape got what I payed fore. it tore stretching the bare tape on. oh well I bought the low cost stuff. because I was not yet sure if I would dig the color. love it but need to hunt down better quality for a re do later on.

was not sure what would look good. so bought 2 options since they were low cost.

but digging the look so fare.

o_O who new tires would be the toughest part of this build?
only one shop online had Continental Ultra Sport 700x25 Black/Green Folding tires. they had 1 left. I sleep on it when I found it . thinking see if I can find a pair some were in the morning. now there sold out off them. only other guy is some dude on ebay wants $27.00 + 17 shipping again it's just one Continental Ultra Sport 700x25 .

so went looking for other brands. found some CST Czar Comp Tire 700x25c Clincher Road Race Fixed Gear Black Lime Green color is way off from my bar tape or color on cranks or seat.😞

so keep shopping online Ebay/Amazon and any were ells that pops up in google. 😌 find a set $40.00 each free 3 day shipping. but struggling paying that for this brand., growing up Kenda tires only were ever put on low-end completes sold on K mart bikes. am I to picky. should I just buy the dam KENDA Kountach K1092 700 x 23C Road Bike Bicycle Folding Tire

Max PSI: 125

or sleep on it keep looking , hunting , searching while these options sell out of stock?😟

time for plan B nobody online has a pare/set in stock. so thought watch some Youtube reviews on it. they all say its a fast rolling tire. actually makes rough roads feel less rough grate. but puncher way easer than most tires from the smallest road debris. not Ideal set up. on a commute 5 miles each way to work bike.
Which is better Grand Sport or ultra sport?
A: There is only one difference: The protection layer. The Grand Sport Race uses Continental's NyTech protection layer, to prevent pinch flats and city street garbage/ dirt road thorn flats while the Ultra Sport II & III just has a "Performance" layer (aka no protection layer).

so now looking at other brands/options. IE plan B

tire color in my opinion will make or break a build. (seat too)

it seems like whatever I’m imagining, doesn’t exist in the size / color I need or want.

good luck on the hunt!

well road it the 5 miles to work then 5 home. 😞 just was not feeling the whoosh or flash of speed. 46 -16 gear sucks. fun comfortable to ride. but not a lot of top speed. will have to fix that.
plan A hill bill fix add raps off plumbers tape. to space out the crank arm. then add a bigger gear tooth number. should = more speed.

plan B buy double size chainring bolts add washers. to space out a bigger tooth sprocket. that hopefully clears frame tubes. again = more speed. but it may throw off chain line.

plan C go nuts with my hammer denting a valley in frame tube. so a bigger sprocket may fit. with out disrupting chain line. change rear gear down in teeth. = equaling lots of RPM/ Speed. IE find the Flash mode!
we will see what works. because wright now it's not felling much faster than my beach cruisers.:13:

well after thinking it over . I bought tires. CST Czar Comp Tire 700x25c Clincher Road Race Fixed Gear Black Lime Green color for the win. the more I looked at them. the more they blended well with my seat and cranks.

well not sure yet of my B.C.D Bolt Pattern size yet. but wow found a 58 tooth :rockout: it probably will not clear my frame. but man can dream.:dance2: we will see . so I don't mess this up. will let pro at bike shop. figure out my B.C.D and maybe what the tallest tooth I can fit is. then see what they have in stock and price Vs buying online.

bought a brand new OR8 47 tooth sprocket. it's black so de anodizing it be for my paint plan.. it's only one tooth bigger. but that insures it should not hit frame tube. plus ditching the 15 tooth rear fix gear cog for a 13 tooth. that should equal = the same or close to a going up to a 50 tooth in front. but again no issues clearing frame. IE more RPM :showingbiceps: with out having to dent in my frame for sprocket teeth to clear. could always save the supper fast gear set up. for my Cinelli track bike. sure would love to run a 58 tooth up front and 12 out back, for the wow factor. but then once it gets going. how do I stop with out ripping my leg off.o_O that frame has no mount for brakes. I don't ride it freewheel mode. it's pure fix gear.

There's a trick for that...
If you don't know your chainring's BCD, measuring it is tricky. So, instead, measure the exact distance (center to center) between 2 adjacent bolt holes. Then find that number on the correct chart below to determine the BCD for your chainring.
Common BCDs include:
130mm (Shimano Road)
135mm (Campagnolo Road)
110mm (Compact Road)
and
104mm, 94mm, and 64mm (Mountain)

That combo is going to look great!

I don't have an answer for you on that except fixed gear looks like fun. I've been wanting to try a fixie for a while now but the I'm concerned about all the steep hills around here.

well that did not go as planed. was going to spray oven cleaner. last night to let it sit over night. de anodize it's black off. what a icky mess. after lots of razer blading and sanding dried goo off. seen sprocket was severely pitted. wash it. then try to find my lace.
the plan leave sprocket shiny silver alloy. to go with chrome. lay down my lace. shoot light coats of lime green. for a anodized lime green. like this stem but silver/ green.
DSC02813.JPG

could not find my lace so plane be warn lime green anodize look. kinda like stem on my fix gear. close just a little brighter.

if you get a version with front and back brakes you should be fine. you may just want to run. a higher tooth in back to help chug up hills.🤔
