Day 14 Update : On the move!
As I said in my previous post, the seat post came in last evening. Got out the handy angle grinder, and made myself a custom post using the stem bolt and wedge from a 22.2 stem I had laying around. Pictures tell the story.
Threw on some 9/16" threaded cruiser pedals I had, mounted the Brooks saddle, and headed off for a ride. I've been cruising around on this thing for about 2 hrs now. So fun!
After about 10 minutes with a sort of popping sound under load coming from the rear end, I pulled the modified belt tensioner off, and pulled the wheel back to get max tension on the belt. It worked generally much smoother then. Still under a big cranking pressure I get the 'knock' or 'pop' from time to time. Smooth strokes on the pedals def help. I'll bring it in to the shop this week and maybe our head dude Todd can help me diagnose.

All is well. Just not much time for bike building. (I did get in 2 wicked polar bear rides in January!) I am going to put in an entry for this year‘s RRBO.

Love what you did on this one. The belt drive is really interesting. I have one very similar minus the drive.

About Day 3 or so of the BO 17, I got a message from @rat krate orange asking if the Felt was available for purchase. We struck a deal, and I bundled it up and shipped it across the border; to our neighbors to the East, Wisconsin.
He got it built up with parts in his stash and just sent me some cool photos tonight!

Yeah, just got this Felt put together over the week end and decided to call it" Skully Wind Splinter"... Had not even thought about a bike to enter, BUT if i did this would have been the bike to enter... Thanks again Lee...

What a great bike on your maiden voyage... Enjoy your new ride.. You've got my vote Lee.. By the way, If you don't have a use for the old crank and sprocket let me know as i have Silver King project that needs some love...
