Re: Simplistic Speed, Chainring Photos! **Lightweight Build**

Thanks, Luke, here it is!!

Well, the initial design didn't work out, see previous posts. After drawing in plan A I drilled the holes for the saw to start the cuts.

You can see at the bottom of this photo the attempt at plan A. Plan B needed to remove that cut and most of the previous drill holes.

Continuing to cut plan B

Here's all the major cuts done, looking like it was cut by a third-grader

Here I'm using a carbide bit to grind the cuts and make them even. The bit throws off shavings that are metal splinters, I found this out after I started with exposed hands and arms *sigh*

Done before it's vinegar bath, just needs a little finishing then on the bike :)

Re: Simplistic Speed, Cut Chainring Photos! *Lightweight Build*

I've been so focused on my build, I just haven't taken time to really see how everyone else is coming along? This build is truly outstanding and that chainring is mind blowing! All I can say...is Wow!

Thank you! It does mean a lot to me that others appreciate my efforts and designs.

Thank you, fordsnake. I have the highest gratitude for your experienced opinion.

I've added some brass screws to break up the chrome.

She then made a rubber mold of it so I could make them from 2-part epoxy

Here's the final being drying against the frame so it doesn't shrink past the diameter

And finally painted and patina added

She's now 100% done, on to photos!!
