Got the pipes laid out and did some cutting yesterday. Now to figure a way of mounting them.

I finally found one of these:
Now you can have a shoe horny bike.
Still no work done, until about an hour ago. I took it apart and started to prep the frame. I've got the paint, but still will be cutting it close, as I have to work all weekend coming up. I still haven't figured how to attach all 8 pipes.

Primed and painted. It almost matches the original red as seen on the fork tube. The rustoleum spray can had a newer type nozzle, it worked well and I used less paint, one can covered the frame and forks.
I'm putting in two 17 hour shifts this weekend. Big overtime, but there's no way I can get the Special 8 done in time. I'll need to take it easy Monday and with the garage temp greater than 100, it just ain't gonna happen.
Sorry to see you drop out, but at least you'll have some good dough to help finish it later.
