specialized hard rock

I just found a specialized hard rock at the curb. Brought it home patched the front tube and it's ALL GOOD. (hits every gear as if it were new people amaze me) but anyway anyone know how to tell the years of these things. From what i found online it's an older one. (it's also a very small frame) Well here she is

yea i was guessing late 80's early 90's by the design of the "hardrock" decal
