Here is the completed racing stripe pleather high back nanner. Very successful day in my opinion. I like this alot. I really like how you can see the shoulder stiching at the far back of the seat that gives you a clue that the seat was a jacket sleeve. Not bad for a rookie seat recover!

Ohh... for cry'n out loud! Would you just do ruff mock-up build :113:

That seat is a straight throw-back to a 70's Yamaha racers jacket.

LOL
It was a modern JC Penney Arizona Jeans Co Pleather Vinyl jacket that I got on ebay because I thought the stripes would play well with the play scheme.

I love those old seats with the double pan!

new ones, with one pan are weak and also;
what do you do with the edge and the left over skin?

Nice job

Deduct 1/2 point for using the word "Pleather" :arghh:

Never revile secrets of the trade, that's a rule :ninja:

What are you talking about? I am proud it's pleather :D :D Makes it even cooler with how well it looks. :D

I realized that I hadn't really seen what all of the painted pieces looked like as an ensemble yet. It was super fun bringing each piece out and staging it a bit. I must have sat in the courtyard for close to a half hour staring at it all from different angles and thinking the build all through. I am really pleased with the way everything is gonna play off of each other. The seat color and stripes work really well I think.

It kinda of funny that I have covered more seats with paint than material. Strange that it took my tenth Build Off bike before I did a recover.

Awesome paint job! Love that chainguard.

That orange and white gives me a 60's/70's cool vibe (not that I lived in that time, but I watch TV once a week)

I forgot to post up the ensemble pics with the wheels yesterday.

I had been thinking about some coppertone accents on the wheels of some sort, but once I saw all of the painted parts with the wheels, I decided that the wheels need to stand alone without any highlights.

I decided a while back that I would use the last two of my South Park chess pieces and bring back another set of Kenny valve caps. The scale of the wheels is perfect for these.

The orange would probably be fine, but I am going to hand paint Kenny's coat with the VHT Burnt Copper.

Had to try the Holey Higgins rack back on the fatty wheel and it is awesome!!!

Brought the Felby bars out too. They still have 3 years of natural rust from Rockafella. I know I will be cleaning them up and painting them. They may be silverish, they might be blackish, but part of me really wants to paint them with the coppertone.
