The bike is dope. I have a hunch about what happened with the girvin fork; looking at those comparison pictures, the spring looks to be too short. On your other bike, and most other bikes I've seen, they angle down. On this bike they were angled up or close to it. It may have been because of the long head tube, like you were thinking, that the spring was too short.

I considered that when I was troubleshooting it, but a longer spring could not be installed. Even with a longer spring, you still have a fixed distance between the swing arms pivot points on the fork legs. There are just physical limitations of how far the swing arms can be spread and I reached them with this head tube.

While I was waiting for the bars to dry, I got to working on the Kenny caps. You've saw that I drilled them to insert the valve caps.

The orange coats would have probably worked fine, but I decided they needed to match the Coppetone. So I sprayed some in a cap and broke out some tiny paint brushes.

Broke the silver metallic as well in a cap and painted the bases with it.

Then I couldn't resist letting them take a ride in the Jake Fishwalker Landspeeder.

I don’t normally like flashy colors but this is turning out awesome. The flow of the paint with that frame just looks fantastic
