All I know is you better install it quick before @Jake Sensi throws some wheels on and puts it in a diorama! [emoji1787][emoji1787][emoji1787]

I have another of these racks. Hey @Jake Sensi , we should do a collaboration piece where we make a vehicle for your toys out of a Higgins rack.

We can call it JAKE FISHWALKER and make it look fast enough to go PLAID!!!

Rainy day so far, so no painting.

Decided to work on covering the nanner.

Glued the old pad back on the top pan with Gorilla Glue spray adhesive.

I am going to make my first attempt without any glue for the cover. Just stretching it over the top pan with the binder clips and the using the bottom pan to hold it all in place.

Even with the original cover, i felt the sides were too abrupt. Even after some minimal test covering with the jacket pleather, i still felt that way.

But I had a plan for that. The jacket sleeve lining should be perfect to just fill everything out a little smoother.

So I glued it down to the seat pad and outer sidea of the top pan.

Then I trimmed it away from the underside.

Stretch here, stretch there. Progressing nicely.

Got the clips and finished the stretching.

20200823_150413.jpg

Then started trimming excess material underneath.

20200823_150434.jpg

And a final stretching.

Then once I was happy with the stretch and material underneath, I slipped the bottom pan on.

Then carefully removed the clips and bolted the pans together.

And my first seat recover is done!!! I am pretty happy with the results!!
