stingray project almost finished

I have been working on this for long enough! Time to share this showed up in the back ground on another post a while back, and it is now almost finished so I thought I would share. It is oil on canvas and it is 3 feet x 3 feet. I think next I will do a balloon tire bike.

I am getting very close. i sould have it completly finished with in a couple of weeks. mabe 20 more hours.

I think that's so cool! Nice color choices too. What media did you use? Oil pastels?

no those are oil paints. mixture of a natural oil, most times linseed oil, and a pigment dust. i use them all the time and they take FOREVER to dry. i imagine that painting has taken him a collection of months so far. looks great!

I have been working on other paintings at the same time as this one. This one has taken almost 6 months. I have worked on it off and on as I had time. I probably have 100 or so hours in it so far.

Thats coming along nice Josh. I talked to bobby today and he said you are buying his coppertone 65. So you will have your painting and the real thing. lol
