Sturmey Archer 3 Speed

Working on an old road bike that has the vintage 3 speed thumb shifter and was wondering if the Sturmey Archer 3 speed is compatible.

Is there a name on the shifter? A different brand may or may not work. If the cover is gone, post a pic.

You can make a friction sifter work if you don't have one with detants in them.
