I got this 1957 Schwinn from a co-worker yesterday (Saturday) and I wanted to get it rideable. The guy I bought it from said "for some reason the rear tire keeps going flat..." As it turned out, several of the spokes were run past the nipples and had shredded the tube. :roll: So rather than take the time to sort that out, I opted for some wheels and tires I had recently gotten from Markm. So here's what it looked like when I brought it home:

In general I'm not fond of racks on bikes. And since this one was broken, and would have to be removed in order to repair it, off it goes. And since the rear wheel needed attention, bye-bye shifter...Peel the cheesy decal off the chain guard, different saddle and:
