Hello, All.
I would rather see this with someone from this group.
I need a geared, upright commuter bike that I can add some saddles to for my 5-mile ride to/from work. I'm open to ideas.
I have had the Dyno for about 11 years. Great bike but not for commuting. Most of you already know most of this so skip over those parts.
OLD Dyno was a division of Schwinn high quality bikes.
These have been discontinued for years. I think this one is probably 23-25 years old. It has the D on the frame underneath the seat, indicating that its at least pre-1999
Collectable and very fantastic for cruising. I have only replaced the bottom bracket, I think everything else is original.
I have owned and maintained this bike for about 11 years. I had the bottom bracket replaced a few years ago by a local bike shop.
This has the factory thumb 4 speed shifter, shifting a Shimano Inter4 Internally Shifting 4 speed Roller brake Hub BR-IM50-R.
I believe the first-year bikes had the matching size front and rear tires, which this one has.
The Fireball Dyno Tire flamed tires are off the bike, I have been using Electra street tires to preserve the original ones.
Twin chrome front forks.
