finally got my front tire from 3G bikes today,so i mounted it and took the buzzard for a shakedown ride! surprisingly, it was smooth,quiet and nothing rattled or rubbed. mostly i was worried that the wedge style seatpost might not hold! :lol: i pulled the rear wheel and trued it better,then re-mounted the tire correctly. seems that in my initial rush putting it together,i mounted the tire backwards! bought some 1"square tubing to make the headlight mount today also. so im a kickstand and headlight away from being finished,unless i decide to use the seat ive got coming from yeshoney. the last 2 pics show "the buzzard" taunting my higgins project, which got moved down on the priority list! :lol:

jeff, unfortunately they are the felt quick bricks with the newer logos! just dont care for the newer lettering.

Now I see....just couldn't place them. I don't care for the new logos either. Are those original rims......rechromed? Beautiful shine.

Boy that Evans is turning out nice. Just the right parts. The ol Higgins looks good too. Those rims are killer. Its come a long way . :mrgreen:

jeff, the rims are one of my better "snipes" on ebay! :lol: somebody rebuilt,re-chromed,re-spoked a sweet set of wheels, then they posted these pics to sell them! :shock: snatched them up for $71.00, two years ago.

i just got one of these last saturday,mine appears to be all original,square fenders and painted rims...its got ape hangers that look like they have been on there since new.

did ape hangers come on evans cruisers?

I just came across this build while searching for BOA G tires.
Sweet work John!!!

I just got a deal on some of these tires and look forward to finding the right bike for them.

There were definitely a lot of them in BO7.

I just picked up an Evans off craigslist about a month ago with those identical gutter fenders on it. Its a unique style. Im not using mine im going to hold them back for my second build. I had trouble figuring out my model though. All the Evans ive seen online seem to have the same chain guard as yours. I only found 1 pic of one that had a torpedo looking chain guard like mine does which from what I can tell was a Vicount model. They had different models of Viscount but I have no idea what kind mine is. Im building mine as we speak. Its called Project Envy if you wanna take a peek.
