 Funny this topic should pop up again in my inbox, but without sounding like i'm repeating my self ''Im going to the see tha Darned again tonight!'' at Darlington

Great thread. I saw the D/\mned twice last time they were in the philly area, they still got it and then some. Capt Sensible kicks butt. Was into them from way back but this was my first time seeing them live and I was blown away. Also saw the Dickies last year too...cool tunes and a blast to see live. Many write them off as bubblegum punk but go to a show and you'll think different.

:) Agree with you totaly! I remember hearing comments such as ''theres more to punk than singing at 90mph!'' Rubbish the Dickies rocked and still do!

Not really punk, but I really dig The Jam..It's from when I had my Vespa scooter, and I was getting into all things MOD. Some of the early Jam stuff gets classified as punk for some reason.

I think The Jam where deffinatly Punk :D ! And i know where your coming from, in my town most of my friends and me where Punk, some where Skinheads[sharp i must add] some where Mods, [Yep we where a bizzare bunch in the late '70s early 80's! ]
Where we all got on was the music i think, Ska and 2-Tone must have been the big leveller back then we all LOVED Ska! ...and we all loved THE JAM! I must also admit I loved the SECRET AFFAIR and THE MURTON PARKAS most deff not punk but brill Mod bands!

I really like The Jam, a few of the Style Council songs, some Paul Weller solo stuff, and also ska/2 tone like The Specials, Slackers, etc. Mostly just the more well known groups as I'm from Michigan, not the U.K. and I was a little kid when that music was coming out. One local Michigan band, Mustard Plug, do some great ska, 2 tone stuff today. Geez, I miss my Vespa.

recently i got to see tsol, suicidal tendencies, pennywise, and danzig play at the long beach arena. it was sos much fun... its too bad i waited too long to get my ticket all the floor tickets were sold out :( and the floor wasnt even full that night :x it was still fun you cant beat a five dollar show :D unless its free of course haha
