Agree with you totaly! I remember hearing comments such as ''theres more to punk than singing at 90mph!'' I think The Jam where deffinatly Punk ! And i know where your coming from, in my town most of my friends and me where Punk, some where Skinheads[sharp i must add] some where Mods, [Yep we where a bizzare bunch in the late '70s early 80's! ]
Where we all got on was the music i think, Ska and 2-Tone must have been the big leveller back then we all LOVED Ska! ...and we all loved THE JAM! I must also admit I loved the SECRET AFFAIR and THE MURTON PARKAS most deff not punk but brill Mod bands!
