I forget what brand or model this is, but it's a quite awesome frame. I'll rescue the fender braces and whatnot.

Re: The Quitter

that is a cool frame no doubt

Re: The Quitter

Basketcase, indeed. I love that the guys on this forum see function and art in what many in society would see as trash.

Re: The Quitter

Wow, it's warm out. My Pasty-white legs can finally come out.

Anybody have the ID on the frame? Completely forgot what it was.

I am absolutely stunned by how easy this thing is coming apart.

Re: The Quitter

She's breaking down nicely. Love the frame and the rust.

Re: The Quitter

Working on gathering parts. This will be up and down as I go in between paychecks. But finals are next week, so that means more cashflow and ability to go out and look for parts!

Wish I didn't sell certain stuff at ann arbor bike show. Too excited I guess.

Re: The Quitter

Its a prewar shelby. It would have had a "peanut" tank. just google peanut tank shelby and you'll find your bike. that frame might have also taken a "no nose" tank.

Re: The Quitter

Are you going to paint it? Hope not!....That's called "rustina", not patina. Rustina is where all the little molecules of rust are holding hands together. If you frighten them, they let go and cover their eyes, which turns the bike into orange talcum powder.....Good Luck!

That is the best explanation ever, Kota.

I thought about painting it but I'm very much on the fence. Also, the friend I got it from said he pulled a Hiawatha badge off it.
