Was out of commission the past week ,,, Between work then
Went camping & went to the House of blues. We saw a band based out of East Texas call Whiskey Myers . Had a blast .

I was able to put it some good time today . Went down to
Old Ed’s shop . I made some frame plates and did some more welding. It’s starting to take shape . Still have many more hours to go.

Broke out a little roller I have and make a bracket for the chain guard. I used a old piece of fender bracket

Thanks guys ! I haven’t been very detailed in my posts kinda letting the pictures do the talking. I’ll take the flap disk wheel to the welds and smooth them over. I like the look so far . The drop outs give it a slight stretched look but not much. It dose drops the back a couple inches Which looks pretty cool. I’m going to try and fab up a tail dragger fender from two newer Schwinn fenders .

I’m drawing some inspiration from these old trucks .

Been locked out of the forum a few days . Got it figured out and I’m back on but now I can’t post pictures. Not sure what’s going on with the Tapatalk app .
Hopefully I get it fixed out soon.
Got quite a bit of work done so pretty happy about that. Wish I could post some pictures. I do everything off my phone not much for the computer.

I think I got it fixed [emoji36]

So I cut a front & rear Schwinn fender off a early 2000 bike & made a tail dragger .

I added a hinge to it which works well for installation & chain adjustment. Also if I have the removed the wheel the fender can stay mounted. All I will have to do is pull the render stapes off the axle and fold it up .

Then it was time to get to work on the front Elgin fender . It was made to have the fork go through the fender .

I had this fender/fork combination for sale for ever & it never sold . So it’s time to use it .

I made a patch to fill the fork hole . I will have to fill the rest with bondo.

Used some small rivets to hold in place .

Need a spacer to make it fit the JC Higgins beehive fork .

Time to drill for the kickstand

Sand some off the rust off the saddle.

Had to heat the luck 7 post and take some of the bend out of it to work properly.

I little closer went back to the welding shop .

Welded on the end of a old handle bar for a nexus 3 speed shifter.
This was from some custom made bars from Mr Tick I bought that were a little to long . Notice the nickel on the end cap.

This little piece will be for a home made light I will show at a later time .

A couple of 1/4” bars for fender brackets .

A pipe elbow for a kick stand extension . That will keep it from sinks in the dirt . Almost looks Like a muffler .

Mounted this old Monark tail light reflector
. Gives it that back of a car look .

Mounted the seat on the post with the new angel. Fits like a charm but I wish it was slid back another
1-1/2” or so may have to extend it .
