Went to my local swap this morning and bought this just as it was unloaded. It has early Red line 175 flight cranks. It still has its early mongoose neck. It is loaded with great parts, and I thought it was a good deal for $60.00. I am not sure of the date but the serial number is C19 219 513. Man the bikes are adding up this spring!

That is a killer find...I need to start hitting flea markets again. Are you sure the serial number is C 1, and not C I ? The C I would make sense, that would indicate a September 1979 frame.

Nice find. Is it chromo or aluminum?

I had that same frame in chromo when I was about 14. I paid for it with paper route money and then my parents would not let me race.

Last week I bought a Supergoose Pro Cruiser on CL. So at 41 years old I will finally hit the track on my Mongoose...with my son (15) on his Schwinn Pro Modified 2 cruiser.

I am stocked up on Ibuprofen and sick leave.

Great quality find. The only thing I would dump is the seat. A fresh powder or nickel of the frame and fork and some new decals and you're set.

First thing I did was change the seat  Now to get it cleaned up. I do not know if I will power coat it or paint it. So is it a super goose? All of the parts are color matched blue and red. The wheels are even color matched with blue inserts in the pro class wheels and red hubs. I was glad to have found it. The guy I bought it from thought it was a red line, and wanted $75 for it. I was able to buy it for $60.00, so I guess it was my lucky day!

Ok I have looked all over the web for super goose decals and can not find them. I know that they have to be for sale some where so can some one point me in the right direction?
