...and stopped for a photo. It was a nice 30 degree day in Western PA, so me and my little motorhead went cruisin the neighborhood. For the first ride ever on a chopper, my little one did amazing. I had to change the nice springer seat for a not so nice newer seat (height issues) and I added a rear handbrake for extra safety. My ride is a 60s Huffy Galaxie. I love this bike! I bought it for $40 last year all rusty. I dismantled it and SOS'd the heck out of it. I re-assembled it with new tubes and WWs. I put on a smaller sprocket to deal with the PA hills. Sharp eyes will notice a Delta headlight serving as a tailight. I even parked my mountain bike one day and rode it 9 miles to work!! Anyway, enjoy the pic!!

great bikes, but i especially like that galaxie. i can understand the smaller chainring to deal with hills as i have the same problem here. what chainring size you running up front? i find a 44t front and 20t rear to be a good combo here, with a 36t front and 20t rear for my rat truck bike.

Yeah, that Galaxie ia so rideable! The original front sprocket was a 48T, now Its a 36T. The rear is a 19T I think. I'd a rather of changed the rear since the smaller front looks strange in the chainguard. But...I didn't have any larger rears and its perfectly geared now so it stays.

how about a red chain to "take up" the gap of the smaller chainring? It still looks good to me.....tankers are the BOMB!
