I joined up because I have just become a proud owner of a Huffy Scout "II". Now I put the roman numerals in quotation marks because I'm not sure if that's a good thing. I have done as much research as the internet will give me and I know that the Huffy Scout came out in 1973 only three years after the Huffy Corporation was formed. The Scout was a bit of a trend setter and seeing the pics of them online they don't look half bad even though they're Huffys. I've found one picture of the one I have and now I want to know, what year is bike from!?! I want to know so I can tell my dad, who works at montgomery cyclery in Ohio, and also says "I have no idea when it came out, that may have been when I was too cool for school." FUNNIEST thing happened when he first saw it! He said "Wow! You found an old Schwinn!" LOL! He was kind of disappointed to say the least.
