I have decided to build a custom 24" version of the classic Yamaha Moto-Bike. 8) What I am now trying to decide is when.

The Tour de Fat is coming up in Atlanta in about 5 weeks and I thought that it would be fun to build it for that. Of course, if I start the build now, I can't submit it into the build-off. And, there is a very real chance that it will take longer than 5 weeks to finish. (I ALWAYS underestimate my projects.)

On the other hand, if I wait, I'm not sure that the Moto-Bike is a bike that would fit in with the typical build-off bikes. And, I have a CWC build concept that does fit the mold. Then again, breaking the mold could be a good thing. :?

Ultimately, the competitive aspect is not the final factor. As we all know, it's just for fun. But if you enter a competition, you should try to compete, otherwise just build! Right? ...Uh, maybe I'm asking the wrong people for advice.

Well maybe you can take Old Glory to Atlanta an scoop parts while at the Tour de Fat just my thought :?:

There are always people selling something its awesome me an Ian went to Chicago it was a blast at 9 he even had fun he has already put in to go to Atlanta

Well, I think big kountry made the most sensible point. I'll not worry about building anything new for the Tour de Fat.

That will give me the next 30 days to continue gathering parts for both ideas and see which one sticks for the build-off. Right now it's looking like it'll be the Motobike. What's funny about that is that I didn't see that one coming at all! I've been scheming most of the winter on how to build the CWC. Then, out of nowhere, a co-worker shows up with this Yamaha frame and now I'm totally heading in a different direction! Time for some new computer rendering.

:!: Thanks to all of you for your input! :!:

[quote="frameteam2003I'd advise building the CWC for the Tour de Fat and the Moto for RRBBO08 [/quote]
