I have found a trike that is pretty reasonably priced. but I am concerned about one issue that I noticed. it has just a front brake and appears to be freewheel on the back no other brakes that I can see.
the concern I have is I am buying it for my wife and I need to make sure this is not a safety concern especially on a trike.
anyone know if this is normal or is it a major repair needed?
I know these trikes can cost a fortune to repair if there is something out in the rear which is another reason why I am concerned.
I never owned a trike and do not know much about these.
thanks in advance for any info.
if this is normal I will be buying the trike tomorrow most likely and will post pics of it in the fresh finds area but i just need to make sure it isn't a major deal before I drop the money on it.
thanks
Sean

Front brakes only is quite common especially on single speed trikes. Unless your traveling down a mountain they are all you need. I have owned lots of trykes of all brands and never recommend coaster brakes or gears. If I were buying a brand new trike it would have a front calliper brake and single speed freewheel. Wouldnt have one any other way. With a coaster brake you lose torque and makes the bike harder to pedal. By the way tell me what your buying. I have probably owned it.

Heres my 2013 Worksman in absolutely mint condition I got for 65.00. Front brake only.
