TV and radio ads

I know I’m old but my wife and I were watching TV last night and I couldn’t help but notice how commercials these days are all about drugs and hygiene products. Granted there are tons of political commercials, but those will disappear after next Tuesday for another two years.
Growing up it seemed commercials were for cars, trucks, tooth paste, and cloths. Then around the holidays it progressed to bicycles and toys and food.
Female hygiene and male performance were something spoken about only in the doctors office or the bedroom.
Am I the only one who notices this ?

No, you are not alone in noticing this trend. But I do enjoy listening to the disclaimers
at the end of some of the drug commercials. Can cause diarrhea and sometimes death.

Or the ones aimed at older people for ED and then they tell you it can cause heart attacks. To some I’m sure it would be worth the risk

Two neighbors with homes on either side of my house. Both of them OD'd on Viagra
and gave themselves strokes. Now I'm not saying they're brilliant, but they were only
one mission short of working for NASA in my opinion. There's more to both of their
stories, but I can't put it into print for legal reasons.

Lol is the medicine the cause, or activities which the body can't handle anymore? Maybe the "failure to perform" is actually a "failsafe to protect"
