Had a bit of fun with this one, started out as a nice 68 typhoon with lots of patina, and i always loved the P-40 so decided on a very very low buck fun build. Most everything is hand made, hand painted the sharks teeth and hells angel, didn't care much for the look of the under seat "billboard" so did a rear fender with stabilizer. Nothing on it is permanent and can be changed back to stock in about 30min! Should get some looks from the neighbors this spring LOL..

That's awesome & funny at the same time! I was just thinking about doing a WWII theme fighter theme with the green bike I brought home the other day.

I really like the forks - would you mind if I copy your idea?
Go for it! I think i seen the forks here on a thread. Cant help with the spring set up just a bunch of random parts laying around my work that i cobbled together, its actually adjustable and has about 1.5 to 2" of travel.

...on your front springer, how do you bolt the leading links to the orig. fork and keep them tight but still moveable for the springer to work?...can you help?

P 40 was one of my favorite planes growing up. Nice tribute. Great effort!

I used shoulder bolts. the shoulder sits perfectly on the fork slot, then used a washer on the threaded end that had a smaller diameter than the shoulder, used a oil lite bushing with the same ID as the shoulder and trimmed it to have a few thousands of play when the nut was tightened.
