Indeed it is. We have a winner. The post that was attached to the seat was at the wrong angle, and was also made of solid steel bar. I happened to have the trailer pin close by, and viola. Same diameter and the correct angle.

Just got the phone call. Fork is all rethreaded and ready for pick up. After work the painting will begin !

Masked, primer and orange sprayed, masking tape peeled, and entire fork polished to help blend.

Let it all dry nice and hard overnight.
