So I've bought and sold a couple springer forks now and have had a few locking forks. I haven't had one with a key till yesterday. How much value does an original key really add to the value of the forks? Also I haven't tried too hard to pull my key out or lock it shut. I can see it now, they need to be in a certain position and I turn and then *SNAP* i have half a key in my hands...any help with that. Right now its in the open/unlocked position.

thanks for any feedback!

The key can only be removed in the locked position. Get out the WD40, blast everything, and the key should slide right out once the forks are locked.

after the wd40 dries some, put a shot or two of graphite in the key slot. They sell it at most key duplicating places.
