noodlenoggin said:Well thank you! All the details are in here, page two, mostly. Yup, I used spray cans -- Duplicolor metal specks red. Broomhandle in the neck and the rear stays on newspaper. The only real secret is to keep the can about a foot away from the frame and lay down a bunch of light coats. Dust it with paint, don't goober it on. Then a bunch of coats of clear.
Oh, and to pull that white down into the red, I made my own stencil by sticking painter's tape to wax paper and cutting out the shape, then peeling and sticking to the frame.
