This was a little of both for me. I built the bike for a dependable and comfortable rider just the way I wanted it (for myself). This was a type of bike that I had been thinking about building for a while. I had planned to skip this build off, but when I got the frame from Flying Zombie a week before the build off started, I got excited about it and decided to use the build off to show case how my convertible tanks will fit a Columbia frame. The build off also forces me to finish it in three months. Hopefully it will inspire someone else to convert their girl's frame too!

Considering the type of bike that I built, I'm very happy with finishing in 6th place and would like to thank everyone for their votes and kind words!

That bike you built was a amazing RM.Now pack it up and send it on over.:D
It amazes me what builders like yoself can do,from to a dumpster frame. Now you have a modern day sleek, slick, speed machine.
I think you need to patent that bike.:41:

In the end I built what I consider a top notch bike that I am extremely happy with
However the voting is showing that I was just to far off the beaten path for most peoples taste

I love it!

Luke.

Hats off to the top 3 vote getters! They really are fantastic creations.:43: In terms of the 83 other bikes, it's important to remember that every one of these rats will generate real-time smiles and inquiries wherever they may roll, and this is what you should all focus on. Voting is 1% of the experience. In-person reactions on the street to your bikes make all the time and energy required in a BO so very worth it whether your bike got many votes or not...ride on I say..
