I normally vote for ones that are kinda oddball and not popular because that's my style. Also ones that did something I have not seen before. Ones that broke out of the norm and did their own thing and didn't care if they won or not just built a cool bike and had fun.

I voted for what I felt was a well thought out build. Entire bike working well with itself. I also did not vote for my own. I must say there were some fantastic bikes built. Good job everybody.

Here is my whiny request this year that is sure to start some drama....

I agree, no need to peek if your truly giving "your" vote. Picked my 3 after lots of head scratching, but I'm still rooting for a lot more than that whether I voted for them or not. Hope everyone had as much fun as it appears they did !!! Nice bunch of builders as always !!! (Same applies to the A.G. builders too)

I threw my votes down. So many nice bikes. Show some luv for 20 inch bikes. Kinda looks like theyre competing against the big bikes.

Great build off guys. It was very hard to pick just 3 bikes, their all winners. The neat part is all the bikes looked different, unlike the cars of today.

I voted! Lots of cool bikes, but I was able to narrow it down to 6-8 fairly easy, but then it got difficult. I wish I could have joined the fun this year, but my grandson was staying with us for several weeks, we had my daughter's wedding and a new position at work just proved too much for me. I'll be back next year....Awesome work guys!

Last year we had around 1100 votes, so we still have a ways to go. My votes have been cast.
Thank you eric5893 and anyone else that threw a vote for Firewing.
Best of luck to everyone that made it to the finish line!
Kingfish my fat brotha! Let's campaign for a "Fat Rat" category build off for next time around. There is a separate category for fatties on the site already; why not a build off? Your thots?

While I do get a smile riding my Fat bike, it doesn't deserve a separate class in the Build Off. The Build Off was fine before with just one Traditional class, but I do think the Anything Goes class has been a welcome addition for people that want to go outside the confines of our basic rules. With these two classes, ALL builds can find a home.

Wow what a variety, anything from restored to shaftdrive, I could have voted for so many more, my top ten,
Remix, I couldn't stop looking at the build progress, outa this world.
3 Star Delusion, the fab work was off the chain, and it came together beautiful,
2 1936 Off-Roadmaster is my fave of the Klunkers.
Black Betty, the simplicity of cool!!
Crusty Racer, just looks like an authentic boardtracker, very nice job on this.
Mooneyes Shop Bike, I just love the padded tank and theme of this.
Rat A Tac, Now this one slipped thru my radar until the finished pics, but I love it.
Scrap Happy, just looks right, it snagged one of my votes 8)
Tuco Benidecto Pacifico, this just oozes RAT!! very cool
Wonder Rat,It gathered one of my votes also, it just looked vintage fast.
I enjoyed my build this year, I also needed a klunker in my fleet, not the manliest of colors, but will not be mistaken at a bike show

As usual, that was a tough vote. But I really like the 3 I voted for, and I'll be happy if those guys do well when it's all over.

KF pointed out I'm getting some love for mine, so I looked and sure enough I am... That's a big surprise, and I really appreciated the votes. Thank you everybody.

Now I have to decide who to award the Thompson Bottle Grips to. That's going to be fun.

Super hard to narrow it down since there we so many amazing bikes built.

I ended up voting for Remix, Tuco Benedicto Pacifico and the Elgin Black Limo Sidecar but there were easily a couple dozen bikes that I would kill to have.

Smoopys build is just what this site is about

thanks DN for the support but I gotta say..I believe every build posted in this build off is what this site is all about...
It shows just how diverse and creative each and every builder is here..I've had the previledge of watching or participating in all but one of these build-offs and I am always amazed with what folks on here come up with..these are all an extension of our minds & hearts and it shows in every build..thanks to all who like my piece of junk just as much as I do... :D

Couldn't agree with you more Smoops. Both the diversity of the builds and the acceptance of that diversity are what make this forum!!! Pretty much every flavor of bike and style is covered between the two classes of this Build Off. The only thing that is missing is a folding bike.

Maybe next year you can get a Mongoose Beast and build Fugsley a big brother. Maybe instead of a ski use a surfboard

I gotta give a big SHOUT OUT to my fellow Klunker builders, I think the Klunkers made a HUGE showing this year and that's cool to me!

I voted early, but I admit that I didn't follow a lot of the builds during the process. I tried early on, but there's just too many to keep up with - I don't know how guys like Kingfish manage to do so. I had to play catch up once my bike was more or less done, but it seemed to me that while there's a lot of awesome bikes this year, the natural three popped for me immediately so I didn't really have a tough time narrowing it down. I looked for bikes that had a lot of obvious effort and creativity in them, and what (I felt) best epitomized the spirit of rat rodding.

On a side note, I am surprised how many voted my 3-Star Delusion has gotten (15 at the moment - three times what either of my previous builds had), and at the number of times folks have mentioned it. So thank you to everyone that liked it, I do appreciate it. 8) The biggest difficulty was trying to figure out how to make it unique without repainting the frame, tank and chain guard...
