I pulled this heel of an 80's Murray and didn't really look at it till I went to strip it for the rim. 24 x 1 3/8 40 spoke and Its got a Sturmey 1 speed freewheel on a drop center Dunlop rim, so I'm guessing its off something with front only brakes ?

anyone have any idea what its for? anyone want it?

Well, you know somewhere out there somebody is calling every bike store in the country trying to locate a 24" rod-brake wheel with zero luck, and there you sit with one, and can't think of any better application than "doorstop" for it. Putting it on Ebay might or might not bring any interest, just depends on if that one person with the bent wheel sees it. Now, if there should happen to be TWO people with bent 24" rod-brake wheels, it might fetch a pretty good price...

I really dig the profile of the rim. If i can find a 40H front hub I think I will run it on my current project.

that is if no one here needs it :p

Be sure and peruse Sheldon Brown's tire-sizing page before trying to replace that tire- it might be a pretty obscure size.

ya I've gone around with the EA tires before :p , luckily the rim is stamped EA-6 so it wont be too bad..

Rig it up with a disc brake! Could be cool. I have a set of 20"three speed rim like that and have no ideas what to do with them.

I'd rig it with something, but I don't have any 40h hubs!!
