This one! Paint the stem and bars black, and find some wood grips. It would definitely look like part of the wheel

Just my opinion, but I don't care for the rear upward angle of the end of the bars in the interwoven mockup. from the side view it just seems like too unnatural of a bar position.

Interwoven gets my vote.
How about the steering knob/handle thing in the end of the bars? Maybe one each side. Would require some fab work I inagine.
After studying them for a while I like the effect, but the angle of the grip area is a bit extreme. There is some adjustment possible that would reduce the incline on end of bars. It would be hard to find a matching steering knob.

Somewhere I have some leftover handlebar wrap from doing the handle of my cane. It’s about the color of the wood wheel. I also have some NOS Western Flyer grips which are about the same color as the wooden wheel. Thinking I might wrap the bars, also have a pair of wood grips but don’t think they’ll match up too well.

Tend to agree with you about the angle of the bar ends. As mentioned above there is some adjustment but it lowers the wheel. I do like the interwoven effect though, it’s different twist. It’s all fluid at this point, things are still evolving. Thanks!

Love the warning triangle!
Everything is coming together nicely.
Thanks, props from the master, good stuff.
Man that neon lime green is wild! Gonna paint the wheels and chain guard on the Trike-Tor the same color? :)

Don’t think I want to deal with painting wheel rims, then I think I’d have to paint the hood. I might experiment with the chainguard though, then I might have to do the bike frame. Maybe weathered looking green? Want it to remain ratty looking. Not suppose discuss my rat rod philosophy though.
I'm sure it's more work than you want to deal with this at this point, but 2 rims laced as one, with dual tires on the back would really be wild!
Yah, think that’s above my pay grade. I saw that done somewhere.
Trailer? Some idea speculations:
Add a upward "V" to the boom to put some wood/hay/tall grass?
This build is sick, love it!
Hey thanks! We had a pet trailer for a while. A previous Dachshund we had would ride in it. When she passed away after 17 years we got a Beagle to replace her companionship. It was enclosed and the Beagle wouldn’t ride in it, so it went the garage sale way. So maybe a flat bed type trailer.

On a more serious side, what about a straighter mt bike bar, with just a 30-40 mm rise? If it was black it would blend in better with the steering wheel spokes. It could be like a third spoke , go under or over the wheel.

Maybe? Shooting for upright seating position.
You posted a comment in another thread about wagon building. So for Bygone Sunday’s, here’s a build from the past.

These aren’t actually finished photos, I guess they are on another device. Maybe a little tractor influence in the wagon. The hood actually had some initial influence on the wagon build.
Finished wagon has wood floor in bed.

Guess I could just make a hitch and have a “tank” bike trying to pull a “tank” wagon.

The original hood in the flea market with a set of @OddJob handlebars...just noticed them.

Toned the bars down some. Need more views to catch @kingfish.

Potential grips...

Or rubber cork...

Couldn’t find the brown bar wrap but did find a roll of black. So wrapped the bars with the handlebar tape and secured ends with friction tape.

Undecided on the grips, leaning towards the rubberized cork. Once they’re on there, they are hard to get off.

Great work MF! Cork looks good, and you could darken it or brown it up with a little paint or stain if you want to. Brilliant on the bar wrap. Blends well with the other wheel spokes.

I'm sure you'll be passing me this week. I did crack 6000 first, but with me building weekends only, I bet you are the first one to 7000 views.

Five hours this morning trimming bushes, trees and other landscape plants. Ground was finally dry enough not to leave footprints walking around. Now I have a driveway brush pile and one in backyard that needs to be carried to front drive. Our city brush drop off site is open this Saturday. I’m guessing three pickup loads to get it all gone.
So no bike work today. I did remove the chainguard yesterday and sprayed some leftover paint on it.

Wasn’t enough paint in can to do both sides, just a curious experiment anyway.

Whoa!

Goofing around, beat from yesterday’s yard work.

Probably need to go with rust effect.

I cut a new tie rod for right side in order to get toe-in adjusted. There is a 1/4” difference from left to right. Not bad for this driveway chop job though.

Added the cork grips.

Took it for a test spin. The 20”s seem a Little more stable. Although without a center pivot the slope of the road crown is somewhat of an issue...it likes level going forward.

Honestly, I think it should have a steering wheel only. The handlebars may be too much. I think they take away from the tractor theme.
Everything else is pretty cool, that seat is perfect.

Thanks, I agree with you on the appearance.
The steering wheel by itself still accounts for quick steering. The current axle cross beam is so much better than the first go around with fixed axle mounted to the fork pivot. The bars are sorta like a backup system. I need to ride it some more to get a better feel for the response needed. Seems to be a learning curve.
