can some one please tell me wat kinda schwinn this is

i found the same exact frame and a lowrider front end at a junkyard bought em for 50 buck n been buildin it up. all it needs is a fresh paintjob. the badge that was on the frame when i bought it was an american flyer. but then i found this pic on the site n they didnt match

thats exactly wat im goin for. im gettin a headlight n taillights next. never liked all the twisted stuff. im keepin with the two tone paint too. just gonna get it redone
 
im not that advanced yet. cant do my own paint. gonna have it done by the pros. lol will buy the stencil though, save me money on labor lol. thanks

as for needing a fresh paint job, it certainly does not.

if you paint it, one day your gonna regret it.
trust me, that paint is just prefect the way it is. :wink:
 
Use this site to decode the serial number. Look all the way through the list, they reused some serial numbers 2 or 3 times and double check the number of digits in your number, another common mis-identification factor.

Just looking at it I would guess post '57 Spitfire. That is when they went from the straight bar frame to the cantilever bike.

ur right too though. i just thought i could bring it back to life
 
What is this talk about paint? The frame is perfect rat. I say knock the shine off the fenders and it would be perfect.

Turtle Wax Colorback works great. It will take the oxidation off the red and make it shine.
