Didn't need another bike, but it looked too complete to pass up. Everything looks pretty straight and not to rusty. Light is missing lens.Goldmine in parts.

I'll do some cleanup in order to decide what to do with it.

Haven't had time to look at serial no. In looking through my CABE Hawthorne catalog I'm not seeing a model that matches up with the bike I hauled home. You said it's postwar but this is prewar. '41 I believe. Cwc guys will chime in.
1947.
Thank you for the response. So what do see as the determining factor(s) on the model year?1947.
Look at the bottom of clear plastic bottles. You will find one that can be cut to fit with a nice gentle bubble shape, but it might have a design (circle or something) molded in which is disappointing. This can be used until you find the real thing. It doesn't look too bad with the plastic bottle lens.Light now working with a little less rust as well. Need a lens. Had to add a bolt for loose rivet.

I hate to part out bikes but I can see at least that much value or more in mine. They do look the same.Looks alot like the 47 CWC that I got last year. I ended up parting it out for over $400.

Thanks, Yes...but I first took the bike to a car wash and soaked the whole thing down with there degreaser and washed it off. That got rid of the "barn grime".Cleaning up very well! That bottle you have, did you use it on everything?
