The chain ring wasn't used until 1941, and the first serial run with C was May-December 1947. Info c/o the Western Auto 1959 parts catalog, reprinted by ABC Services a couple years back.

I did some cleanup on the wheel set today and added new tires and tubes. The old "Fisk" tires are really cracked. I still haven't been able to get the stem out.
