I picked this up today...and proud of myself for remembering to take pictures before taking it apart.
Has a komet super rear hub, white rims guess I won't have to paint them. Have not found a serial number lots of dirt and grease to remove first. If any one has any more guesses at to who made the bike I would love to hear them. Almost forgot to mention cool home made rope hub cleaners which actually did a great job hubs are shiny.

looks like a Snyder built frame to me. Serial number should be on the left drop out.
should have a circle with a S.E in the center.

Looks like a couple of Rollfast that Ive had so like was mentioned possibly Snyder built.

Ok thinking slam the seat down, lose the fenders or bob them, got a nice set of ape hangers and that is the only chain guard that I have not thought of getting rid of graphic is just too cool. Of course this is just the first idea I am sure there will be fifty other ideas before I get all the old grease off and hubs etc regressed.

This is a Hawthorne I built, based on the same frame you have.

I antiqued the paint added all the white and gold accents,some apes,head light, front truss rods are from a 40's Higgins,
old Detroit license plate,tank from a old 24in huffy..and a few others things I cant think of right now..
you can do alot with these frames on the cheap I've got about $150 in this bike total..
cant wait to see what you do with it! keep us posted.
