I saw a review that complained of it being heavy, but for as beefy as it is it's just right.

Who complains about weight of a basket? I guess they'll just always keep it empty.

Saw some bars similar to the ones with the basket at the Vintage Bicycle club swap meet a few weekends ago.

Here is a photo of one of the Origin8 Cargo Units on a bike. The best price I see on these is $60. They would be a steal at $35.

The shop I usually frequent has incredible pricing, as it's run by a guy that does it basically as a self supporting hobby, so he's not trying to get rich but rather simply make enough to support just himself and his cycling. His regular retail on the Origin8 bar/basket combo is $42, but he got a couple white ones in on special at $35, and then I get an extra 20-25% off due to the volume of stuff I buy.

I agree. Most of the other baskets look like add-ons, but the Evo is more integrated. It also looks like it could take a punch.

The Evo looks like it has a brush guard on the front in case you need to bump a pedestrian out of the way...just kidding of course.
