weekend finds...(Varsity Paperwork!!) 06/23/09

Quantity, not quality, for this weekend. With the exception of the Varsity find, most all these bikes will end up getting donated to a local charity. One of the donaters is of some interest though. At first I assumed it was English made, but after a quick search, I realized it was Canadian. Love the rear inside pan.

definatly like the varsity. i can remember when you first showed up here with "a bike", now look atcha with all these bikes. looks like the bike bug has hit you hard. just like the rest of us.

on that red ten speed, the sekine, i like how the comp name is spelled in the dork disc. thats cool like the jc higgins chainrings.

Nice finds. The red road bike in the very back looks to like an Open Road 10-speed? You'd be surprised. I sold mine for $80.

Yep, same bike, but mine is ROUGH. Six of these were from the same guy. They had been under a plastic tarp for a couple years. The rain, and trapped moisture was hard on them.

This came to me today from a friend that I picked up the Varsity from. Original paperwork, with the purchase date on CHRISTMAS DAY 1973. Gotta Love it!!

And, the reciept from when it was tuned and the foam grips were added in 1988. Almost makes me want to leave them on.....

Some neat finds you got there....I have 2 yellow Varsity's and a Green one too.
