I think you are right. Looks like a set just sold on ebay for $178. I only paid $10 for the bike. :mrgreen:

These Western Flyer BMX bikes are exceptionally rare. I just saw an Invader 3 hit $350 on eBay last week! I think this is a 1985 model and it may be AMF-built.

I found something pretty cool when I peeled back the velcro and nylon top tube cover. I found $100 bill that had been hidden there!!!!!

Hosed the Invader down
I can't find a serial number, but I did find a marking that says "MFD BY RC"

Just noticed, If you look close at the bill is says"This note is NOT legal tender for all debts public and private so it's a fake!

It's also about 8" long by 3" wide. But it was still a cool find hidden away for the past 30 years!!

I finally got around to pulling this find from my stash and cleaning it up. It will be for sale soon. I am probably going to sell the Lester mags separately from the bike. I may even throw in the $100 bill that I found in the top bar pad.

Cleaned up and ready to sell.

Cleaned up the Lester Mags too. They have Dae Yung tires on them (which I got a chuckle out of).
The rear mag had some oxidation going on, so I sanded it up. I'll probably paint it when it warms up before selling the mags separate from the bike. The drive side end of the axle threads are rusted up so that the nut cannot be removed. It has plenty of good threads to allow using it on a frame though. The other side of the axle is great.
