Guys, thanks! Hot Wheels or not I love to design things. But in the end it's still a job, You got to keep on your toes and do your work like any other J-O-B. I am lucky to work here and work with some very talented people.

Carpentry, currently working on a couple of houses for a local contractor. I also do the occasional NH Wetlands permit, and offer Shorefront Development Feasability Consultation for people who want to update their river or lakefront property.

I almost took a job with Emory bike company here in Jacksonville back in 93 when I was discharged from the Navy on a hardship, but I had a family to support, and all they would offer was long hours and low pay, so it didn't happen. Had I been single, I would have loved that job. Making bikes is my dream job.
USCG. AET1. MH-60J in Clearwater about to transfer to MH-60T in Cape Cod this summer. Enjoying the warm weather while I can.

Hey we do the same thing! Although I got burned out after too many fatality claims in one month. I have moved back to chasing storms Auto or Property which ever company calls first. So now I only work when hail falls, tornadoes spin, water rises, or hurricanes blow. It's a cruddy way to make a lot of money in a short period of time, but it keeps me out of the bars.

I think, once children funerals cease to get to you, you are dead yourself.

Most jobs I have had I felt dead and just zoned out till quitting time. I worked in a meat packing plant on the slaughter floor, Fast food, auto mechanic, auto body, forklift operator, used car salesman, and currently do a bit of work for a friend's used car lot cleaning cars and doing repos. I wish I had abe's job designing hot wheels, By the way they need to design more VW hot wheels. Or a Rat Rod series. 8)
I make teeth. Usually they are cosmetic often full mouth restorations. I get to do the custom teeth when they are requested as well. I spend most of my time making them out of wax for a lost was techique. We burn the wax out and press hot porcelain into the mold. We then modify them from there
The A was for a lady that wanted a "romantic" A. it had been sent somewhere else before I got it. The fat blue A just didn't do it for her.
Before and after. This case was on the Maury Povich show. It was very difficult. There are some things I don't like about it, but it obviously was pushing the limits of what we could do.

I prefer really good bourbon straight. My last fatality involved a child that was the same age as my youngest. Had he been properly belted in he would have had the same minor injuries as his parents. That was one of the things that made me decide to find a different line of work. The biggest thing is I am really tired of dealing with stupid.

Like Abe says himself, his job is also just a job after all. I imagine he has to meet deadlines, what he designs must meet the specifications of the engineers, the bean counters and the marketing monkeys are on his back and in the end he'll be as happy that it's 5pm Friday as most of us.

It's like what my dad always said, for every pretty girl there is a guy that is tired of putting up with her. I told my wife the other night; I want a job that people actually want to see me, don't think I am out to screw them, and above all one where nobody would be offended that my wallet has 'Bad Mother' on it. There is a lot of mistrust of insurance companies, which all boils down to people don't really understand the product that they have bought.
on a uhmm.. lighter note i just applied to a few jobs at the Intrepid Museum in NYC. for those of you not from around that area its an air museum built inside the USS Intrepid which is moored in the hudson river next to the west side highway in midtown NYC. its a really cool place
