Got a new shirt from my sweetie for my upcoming birthday. Wore it today on a ride with the Chicago Taildraggers along the Fox River. Incidentally, after this ride a year ago, I started this thread... Also had fun staging this...
Every time I take this out, I get approached by attractive and interesting women and it's a ready-made conversation starter (I'm approached by other people, too, of course). I should have made this thing 15 years ago. I'd rent it out, but a lot of guys are too stupid to recognize the usefulness of this goofy bike and probably even less are secure enough to ride it. This thing is like my first drivable car: a humorously modified 1984 Subaru wagon. Girls walked right by my friends with their paycheck-eating muscle cars to talk to me. They hated me even more because I was with my ex and wasn't interested (never been a cheater . . . don't think I've ever been cheated on, but I have been known to be clueless about some things) and it's not because I'm so good looking or charming.
My furry friend doesn’t care what my bike looks like, what noises it makes or if it’s era correct he just wants to know if we’re going on a ride.
Columbia klunker has been my go to lately.
May 18th Tamale Ride with @Pookie42@Skipton and the Chicago Taildraggers. I'm riding the Thunderbolt Grease Slapper, my current BO14 entry, a '53 Schwinn Spitfire.
